How To Make Low Carb Keto Caramel Sauce

Learning how to make gooey keto caramel sauce is super EASY!

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • ⅓ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 4-5 tbsp allulose or xylitol
  • ½ tsp sea salt

Best Sweetener To Use

After many attempts at this recipe, we found that Allulose or Xylitol works the best. You will get the tick and sticky texture without having to use any thickening agents.

Brown erythritol is another good option, however, if you decide to use it then make sure you use a pinch of xanthan gum to help keep the thick and sticky texture.

Melt the butter in a saucepan on low-medium heat while stirring every so often until golden brown.

Add in the sweetener, heavy cream and salt. Stir consistently until it reaches boiling point, then reduce to low heat.

Simmer for 8-10 minutes while stirring occasionally until mixture is thick and sticky.

Remove from heat and add in a splash of vanilla extract (optional).
